Chicago in February

Second year in a row, for this. I am sensing a possible trend. LOL. Though I would not be opposed to pushing it to March. I went to Chicago last weekend with friends, Brandy, Melissa and Amy. It was a great time, we went to Adler Planetarium, a Improv Comedy Club, and shopping of course.
We drove my new car, and got some great gas mileage. Here are some photos from the trip. Enjoy!

JERICHO RETURNS!

Ready set...reruns! Thanks to the writers' strike. But there is a bright side:) Jericho is returning to CBS with 7 NEW episodes starting February 12th (Tuesday) at 10P. If you haven't watched this amazing show, give it a serious try. Everything else is reruns so you have nothing to lose. LOL. Would I steer you wrong?? Would I??

Merry Christmas! This little peanut is all the reason in the world to live my life to best of my abilities, to love, and experience life as the Lord meant for it to be.

School

Oh, my Lord! I hate speaking in front of people even with the lights off. I swear I cannot form words. It is so frustrating for me.

Long time no see...

I haven't updated in so long, and I have been busy with life in general. School continues to go very well for me, I have gotten A's in all but 1 class (I got a B).

Judd continues to amaze me every day. Watching him grow and learn and experience life is one of my greatest joys in life. I have learned a lot from him, patience being one of the greatest lessons. Cindy and I took him to church last nite, and he sat through the whole service and did so well. At one point while the band was playing he started swaying back and forth to the music. It just happened to be a song he knew from one of his Praise and worship DVD's for babies. He watched that movie so many times. We showed him the children's room that he could go to and he said he wanted to go, of course he is just two so....

Let's see, Judd loves Thomas the Train and Mickey Mouse. He is forming several word sentences. If I don't see him for a few days, I come back and he is talking and chatting and becoming more clear each day. What a blessing he is.

Back to the church comment. I have been wanting to find a church to go to. So I was very fortunate to have a friend go with me so I wasn't quite so alone. Brandy and I went two weeks ago and then last week I met her and her husband. I am very blessed to have such a friend. This week was the third week I have gone and I really enjoy it and the messages so far. I think I will continue to go and hopefully find the time to get involved in the church as time goes on. The churh, CedarCreek has a huge congregation so it can be intimidating. But I feel so much better about events in my life the past couple of weeks.

Flooded Basemants, A's in classes and lazy summer days.......

Hello luvs-

It has been a few weeks, but they have been busy ones. First good news, I got an A in my last class. Wohoo!!! Second, I was named Employee of the Month (who knew!!), now they are gonna have a hard time firing me.... LOL and third well, I don't think there is a third except that I am in good health and have much to be thankful for.

On a bad note, Sarah and Jim's basement flooded and it is a disastrous mess. I have only seen the aftermath, but they tell me there was at least 3 inches of water. :(
Cleanup has ensued... Say a prayer for them , it is a very frustrating time.

Judd is doing well, he is growing and he is a chatter box, and everyday his words become more clear. He gets very frustrated when you don't understand him. I don't blame him. He lovvvves Mickey Mouse right now!!! The way he says Mickey is just priceless, I love to hear him say it. He still loves Little Einsteins, but Mickey is tops right now. LOL

I've gotten quite a few tomatoes from my plants, but two of the plants are sick and need a "miracle". They are looking sad :(

Lazy Saturdays and Vacations

Afternoon all-

I haven't posted in awhile, so I thought today was a good day. I've been busy with work and school and been blessed to take a vacation. I spent 4 days in Cincy with Cindy. We went to King's Island and Spirit Song. We had a great time!! Casting Crowns, Jeremy Camp, Newsboys and lots more. We rode a couple of rides, but not the crazy big coasters!. We rode the Adventure Express back to back and on the 2nd time, the coaster stopped in it's tracks!!! No pun. LOL We were only stuck for a minute or two, thank God.
We did the bumper cars, I couldn't catch up with Cindy. It was funny.
On Saturday, we went to Pete's house and spent some time with him and Lily.
Sunday, we went to church and then I went home. It was a nice time.

Today, I've been hanging with the Juddster. We're watching Mickey Mouse and picking tomatoes from my garden. He is talking more and more and it's easier to understand him, he is a joy.

Oh, if you know of anyone who needs electrical work, Jim is now insured and bonded and looking for extra work so please keep him in mind. I will post a copy of his business card on the site with his information.

Here I go again......

Well today starts another shot at getting my health where it should be. I'm motivated again to work on the weight loss. Lots of prayers would be much appreciated. I haven't gained back the 10 pounds I lost so that is a good thing, I just need to start soldiering on. I started eating well again today and of course, I was hungry like all day. I know that it takes awhile for the body to adjust so I just have to focus on the endgame.

Camping!

Morning all-

Well, the crisis was taken care of and we were able to go on Thursday. Go Jim!!! He's super repairman!!! The campground we stayed at was really nice, no flush toilets or running water but the bathrooms were not that bad and they were right across the way from our site. They barely smelled.. LOL

Judd had lots of fun, we had some trouble keeping him occupied, he played in the trucks/vans alot. He is two you know, and the adults have to get the camp set up but he doesn't get that so it was a little frustrating but it worked out.

Once the rest of our crew showed up on Friday afternoon and Saturday afternoon, Judd had lots more people/kids to play with.

He and I played for like and hour in the tent and he was just a crazy boy, wrestling and hollering. He definitely wore Aunt Jenny out.

He wanted to sleep in my tent the first nite. He has his pack 'n' play. All was well till about 3:30A when he woke up crying. I picked him up and we laid down on my rapidly deflating air matress (grrrr.....). That worked for awhile then he wanted mom and dad then he didn't then he wanted something else, which I could not translate. LOL. Until Sarah said, "he wants milk", then it totally made sense what he was saying. So he got milk and back to sleep he went.

We went swimming on Saturday, he would only stay in the water with me or Nick, he didn't want to go out far with mom or dad, which I suppose is typical. He screamed and clung tight. He had his life vest on and we went out deeper which he wanted, he was watching the diving board. At one point, I had only one hand lightly on him and then he realized it and screamed! So I reassured him again and held on tighter. He did really well. He kept his hat on the whole day, and his vest when he was in the water. Go Juddy!!

We left around 2:30 on Sunday, because among other things, Judd had a bit of a belly ache, and Michelle (sarah's friend) had a bad sunburn and did not feel well. But it was a great time and everyone wants to do it again. Judd is a great camper, which he should be he has been camping since he was like 3 months old.

Afternoon Campers!

Small glitch in the camping plans for today:( S&J have some leakage/electrical issues in their house! So, Jim is trying to fix it so we can still go tonite. It is currently extremely warm outside my house, but reasonably cool inside. What a blessing.

Whatever happens, I'm sure we will have fun. I am working on a video for Judd's first 2 years, I'm thinking it's gonna take awhile but when it's done it will be good. I love making videos/movies. I missed my calling in life.

Paper Done-on to the next one!

My paper is done, just in time I might add. Now on to the next one, my 10-min. presentation. Lordy, I hate public speaking. At least it can be something I am remotely interested in. Anyhoo, enough about school. Today was good, Sarah and Judd came over for a couple hours. Judd loves to play with the computer and is strangely drawn to the 'Favorites' yellow star on the tool bar. LOL. He is such an empathetic little boy. While Sarah was on the computer, I laid down on the sofa b/c my back hurt, and Judd walks over and puts his hand on my face and says, okay, jenn? what a precious little sweetheart. Of course, we went outside for awhile and the neighbors pups were out and he was chasing them around. We walked around the yard and looked at the river for turtles and fish, and he sat in his own patio chair. Yes, of course he has his own chair at Aunt Jenny's house. LOL
We all had lunch and made our grocery list for camping and overall had a great morning.

Trouble

Okay, now you're all in trouble. LOL. I got approval from mom & dad so I will be bombarding the blog with photos of my peanut (Judd). Prepare yourself. I am really having fun with this thing. Of course it should go without saying that I am not going to get specific about locations (where I'm at etc.) in this blog. Too many freaks out there in the world, so tread carefully and cautiously all. Oh, the sandcastle photo was from 2 weeks ago. Well, I am off to sleep, so I can wake up refreshed and ready to write my paper due tomorrow at 6pm. I work so much better under pressure. LOL

Afternoon All-

Today is another beautiful day, praise the Lord for the sun!. I spent a little bit of time today with Sarah and Judd this morning. Sarah shared the video of Judd and cousin Haden on a ride at King's Island. Oh my Lord, it brought tears to my eyes. Judd had a blast, he was laughing and squealing as the ride went round and round:) What a little peanut! Then we all had lunch, and Judd and I played in his room. He spent his first nite in his big boy bed, yesterday. I can't believe how much he has grown and I see him most days. What a beautiful little gift from God. He has a mind of his own, to be sure. I am going to clear it with mom & dad first and then hopefully post some recent photos of him here. Well, I'm off to work, so have a wonderful day.

Good Afternoon!

What a beautiful Day here in God's country. So, I woke up with two animals, Jake and Anez scrunched up right next to me, the sun shining, the birds singing and a day off from work. House sitting, pet sitting....it's all good. Well, except for the allergies from the cat dander. LOL.

After a shower, it was off to town, Meijer and Target (who does not love a day shopping at Target?) Hehe. Anyhoo....had to pick up some sales for camping next week. Dropped way tooo much money, but hey it's only money. Toxic Hell (aka- Taco Bell) for lunch. I know, I know bad girl...

Home once again, with plans to clean the house a bit, pick up S,J&J's house a bit,research my paper and organize for camping.

Guess Who??

Evening all-

A line of storms ran through here this afternoon, lots of rain and hail. My tomato plants are looking fabulous though. Oh happy day. LOL. I've got a new paper to write for my criminology class. I will probably spend most of the day tomorrow working on it since I work the rest of the weekend. I hope everyone is well, and know that you are all loved. Will talk with you soon.
